It started, as many parenting stories do, in the middle of a chaotic Tuesday evening — three exhausted parents, one shared problem, and a question that changed everything.
We didn't want to be "tech parents" who used screens to silence our kids. But we were also practical enough to know that in a digital world, we couldn't just lock away the devices. So we asked a simple question: "What if we stopped treating the screen as a wall that separates us, and started treating it as a bridge that brings us together?"
We wanted a tool that didn't just dump noise into our children's ears, but whispered wisdom into their hearts — a way to teach values like patience, responsibility, and empathy without the dreaded parental lecture.
One of us suggested a radical idea: what if the story wasn't about a distant hero, but about them? What if we could place our children inside the narrative — visually and emotionally? A world where their favourite animal friend could join them on a quest to clean their room, manage their fears, or learn the joy of sharing.
That night, at that kitchen table, Patmi was born.
We built Patmi not as a replacement for parents, but as a partner. We aren't a digital babysitter; we are a "Friend of the Parent." We collaborated with child psychologists to ensure every story was a mirror — not a screen. We removed the hooks — no ads, no algorithms, no noisy loops — and left behind only the stuff that matters: the values, the bonding, and the magic of a shared adventure.
Our Promise
Today, Patmi is a community of parents who believe that the stories we tell our children today become the character they carry tomorrow. We know that the best way to teach a child to be a hero is to show them that they already are one.
Three friends — each a parent, each a technologist — sat around a kitchen table with half-finished coffee and scattered toys and asked: what if the screen was a bridge, not a wall?
What if the story wasn't about a distant hero, but about them? That single question — at that kitchen table — is where Patmi was born.
We collaborated with child psychologists to make every story a mirror, not a screen. No ads, no algorithms, no noisy loops — only values, bonding, and the magic of a shared adventure.
Patmi is a community of parents who believe the stories we tell our children today become the character they carry tomorrow.
Because every story needs a hero.
And we believe every child deserves to become one.
